Gary set up Bowden Consulting Engineers in 2012 having spent his career in the construction industry, latterly as a Project Manager for an international heavy lift civil engineering contractor, responsible for operational projects around the globe.
Bowden Consulting Engineers was created to enable him to spend more time at home and also to meet the perceived need for providing structural engineering services for the growing domestic market. In particular it assists home-owners who love living in the Market Harborough area but require more space
The aim of the practice is to offer practical and economical structural services to local Architects, Builders and Developers, primarily providing support to the domestic sector.
This support includes loft conversions to provide additional bedrooms, new garden rooms with bi-fold door openings to bring the outside in and enabling the removal of a load bearing wall between the kitchen and the dining room. More recently the practice has been involved in works to enable more convenient home working.
With over 30 years of experience, Gary will bring an innovative approach to any project, providing creative solutions to the most challenging structural engineering tasks.

Tom has been working with BCE for 2 years as a business administrator. He is currently taking a business administration apprenticeship to improve and expand his knowledge and to help the business become more efficient, allowing Gary to keep doing what he loves.
